Hi Eleni! Thanks for checking in with me!

You’ve been with Formulate for 3 months. How are you getting on?

That’s right! Time flies right by. I’m really enjoying it so far!

Great stuff. Can you tell me a bit about your role and why you chose it?

Sure, I’m a Product Owner. It’s my job to help keep our product on track and ensure we’re meeting our customers' needs. It’s so great. I get to be involved with every aspect of our product, and for me that’s just fascinating! Never a dull moment!

Nice. And why Formulate specifically?

Formulate offers a rare combination. I get to work on an interesting and complex product, and I get to work with a really talented group of people. This combination makes you better, both as a professional and as a person.

That’s a great take on it. Did you always want to work as a Product Owner, or has it been a bit of a winding road?

Ha! It’s been a pretty varied and interesting career so far. I first worked as a project manager for a marketing agency, then as a product manager for a lead capture and sales enablement Saas solution. And before that I studied an MSc in IT management and IT project management from Umeå and Stockholm universities.

Woah! Quite the road! And within this role what are you most looking forward to?

Getting all the exciting features we’re currently developing live!

Good answer. Do you have a favourite feature under development?

Good question! I'd have to say Optimate. This means, as a user, you can select which promotion you want to run. Then, with a little machine learning magic, Formulate can tell you the best price to set depending on whether you want to maximise sales or profit. I think it's a real game changer for promotions planning!

It sounds like it! Anyway, tell me a bit more about you. I gather you’re moving back to Sweden after a stint in the US. How was your time over there?

That’s right! Living in the US, even for a short while, is a great experience! There are so many things to do and places to visit! I can really recommend it. But it doesn’t really compare to the quality of life Sweden has to offer.

That's something I hear quite a lot. Now you’re back in Sweden, what do you do for fun?

I usually play basketball or read books! And when the weather allows it I grab my camera and go out for urban and rural explorations.

What a great mix. Any photos from urban and rural explorations you're willing to share?

Why not? :) Here's a link to a photo portfolio of my heritage wanderings.

Some amazing shots there. I'm posting a few below to add some colour!
